Our Philosophy

In our quest to improve our athletes’ performance, we have made critical observations that help shape the way we train athletes. We found that most sports are played in the standing position with force applied to the ground and that athletes must use every muscle, tendon and joint throughout the body in multiple directions in a coordinated and explosive manner. Hence, training may include any or all of the following:

Programs We Offer

Endurance Medicine

We are specialists in the treatment of runners, cyclists and swimmers, as well as avid endurance athletes ourselves. We are driven in helping you return to the endurance sport you love as quickly and safely as possible.


We are a team of sports medicine specialists with focused training in treating common injuries that affect endurance athletes, preventing injuries, improving performance, and getting you back to sport. We understand that you often fear the recommendations to discontinue the sport that you love. Rest assured that when evaluated promptly and appropriate measures are taken, many injuries can be treated early, preventing time away from competition and/or activity.


We enjoy participating in out community, and internationally, through medical coverage at events such as the Ironman World Championships, community events, as well as speaking engagements and education for teams, fitness groups and businesses. Sports Performance

Our Sports Performance Training Programs are focused on three goals:


Injury Prevention:

An athlete becomes better at a sport by practicing the skills that are required for the sport. A major focus in our training is preventing injuries through the use of sport specific strength and power exercises (with an emphasis on core strength), balance and stability training, movement patterns and agilities similar to the sport the athlete is participating in, conditioning the energy systems required in each sport, and flexibility training.


Performance Enhancement:

Our aim is to maximize each individual’s athletic potential and to prepare him or her for the physical and mental demands of competition. Most great athletes are capable of explosive jumping, powerful bursts of speed, quick changes in direction, tremendous strength and power for their sport and the ability to maintain good body control and balance at all times. Through training, we can develop an individual’s athleticism and greatly enhance performance in competition.



In working with our athletes, we place a major emphasis on the educational components of training. Instead of just making our athletes breathe and sweat hard (which they do!), we also teach our athletes why we train the way we do. We believe that an understanding of our training methods and how they apply to athletics provides our athletes with greater motivation and makes them more likely to achieve success.

Golf Performance

RockyMountain HPC offers Sports Performance Golf Programs to provide you with tips and training on every aspect of golf-specific fitness. Everything from identifying limitations to strength training for golf stability, mobility, balance, coordination and cardio-fitness. Sports performance golf also offers the Titleist Performance Institute. Players are placed through a complete array of tests usually reserved for the best golfers in the world. By assessing a “total picture” of you body and swing our team will recommend a program seamlessly integrated into your current routine and help optimize your performance. Sports performance golf includes on of the most technologically advanced golf evaluation facilities in existence, focusing on swing efficiencies and conditioning.

Sports Injuries

RockyMountain HPC offers the largest team and the most comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to the prevention and treatment of injuries in athletes and active individuals.


Our pursuit of excellence in research, patient care and education is enhanced by our position within a global network of comprehensive healthcare providers. If necessary we can make the appropriate referral regardless of where you may be strategically located on the globe.


Our team of experts provides personalized care in sports medicine, sports performance, orthopedics, rehabilitation, nutrition, concussion management and sport psychology.

Our program is unique in its field because of the diversity of performance athletes with complex and chronic conditions seen routinely. We see all ages from adolescents, high school, collegiate, professional, and age defying seniors. Our depth of expertise also comes from working with gymnasts, swimmers, cyclists, runners and performance artists.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy plays a vital role in recovery from sports injury. Our highly experienced and credentialed staff includes Board Certified Sports Physical Therapists and dual-credentialed PT/ATCs.


All staff members are committed to working with you to help you return to your top level of performance. Our skilled staff athletic trainers and sports physical therapists also provide event coverage and offer their expertise in support of our clinical programs. Many of our staff are credentialed in Active Release Technique and FMS / SFMA (Functional Movement Screen / Select Functional Movement Analysis) and a plethora of advanced credentials.


The entire rehabilitation staff from RockyMountain HPC is dedicated to creating a customized, evidenced-based program for your musculo-skeletal problems or injury.
